Formed in 1958, The Embers are known as North Carolina’s “Official Ambassadors of Beach Music". Famous for their signature R&B, soul, and "beach music" sounds—which are perfect for dancing the shag—they perform heavily across the Southeast. Fellow Appalachian State alumni, Boone native, and insanely-talented country artist, Adam Church, will be gracing the stage at Old Barn Winery. Clearwater Band
Way back in the 1990s, Freddie Blevins, Richard Edmondson, and Randy Revis met up to form the band Steelhorse. And had the great fortune to open for some national acts such as Tanya Tucker, Aaron Tippin, and Ty Herndon. The friendship continued as did the desire to make more music. This coincided with Freddie's friend Jacob Greer leaving the nationally touring bluegrass group, Sideline, and joining the newly named group, Clearwater as the lead guitarist. We make music for the love of music and we hope it is enjoyed by all.
Mark Bumgarner
Mark is a musician whose sound has been described as “pure Southern Americana.” Performing primarily as a solo artist since 2005, he has also toured with national and regional bands, including Nashville-based Jubal Foster. In addition to performing, Mark serves as an emcee at local and regional events, including the renowned MerleFest, the nation’s largest Americana and roots music festival.

Sassafras
Sassafras is based in the Foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina. Sassafras is a bluegrass band who pays homage to the Bill Monroe and Flatt and Scruggs era, but also enjoys pushing the edge of progressive Newgrass music as well. Their repertoire includes a range of musical styles including Ole-time, Country, Folk, Western Swing, and originals.

BRB (Brown, Reese & Brown) is a husband-and-wife duo featuring Jeff and Lori Brown alongside veteran High Country musician Greg Reese. Together they perform favorite hits from the ’70s through today, along with a few original songs. With great harmonies and a fun, upbeat energy, BRB always delivers an entertaining show that keeps audiences coming back.

Klee Liles, a guitarist and singer who has performed throughout the Southeast for more than 30 years, is known for his engaging blend of pop favorites, singer-songwriter classics, and original music. After spending time in Nashville, Klee made his home in North Carolina’s High Country, where he continues to captivate audiences with his versatile style and warm stage presence.
Joining him is Roger Bartlett, acclaimed guitarist, songwriter, and original member of Jimmy Buffett’s Coral Reefer Band. Bartlett co-wrote Buffett’s iconic hit “Come Monday” and helped shape the laid-back, tropical sound that launched the Parrothead movement. Together, Liles and Bartlett deliver an unforgettable performance filled with exceptional musicianship, great stories, beloved classics, and the easygoing spirit of coastal and mountain living.

Come 2024, The Lucky Strikes will celebrate 15 years since its formation in 2009. What began as a piano and guitar Jazz and Swing duo has since grown in both size and repertoire (and name, The Lucky Strikes Orchestra), performing a wide variety of fun, memorable and danceable music ranging from Motown, Beach, Yacht Rock, Classic Rock-n-Roll 50s-80s.
